On McGregor Being Profitable 

During his interview with ESPN Brazil, Oliveira once expressed that McGregor would be his first choice to fight as "fighting Conor is very profitable." 

On Willing to Wait to Face McGregor 

Oliveira once expressed during MMA Fighting’s Portuguese-language podcast Trocação Franca a few days after his bonus-winning performance, he said that he is willing to wait for a few more months and face the Irishman instead of defending his belt against Justin Gaethje.

On Legacy and Money

Oliveira during his interview with Yahoo Sports once expressed that he worked hard to build his legacy and that it costs money to become a champion. He further added, "To become the champion, it costs money. And to continue to be the champion I am today and to build on my legacy, it’s going to cost money. And a fight with Conor McGregor is the one that will bring the most money and help me to continue to get better."

On Challenging to Fight McGregor 

Oliveira challenged to fight the Irishman and Diaz on the same night and asked Dana White if he can do so.

As per Irishmirror.com, Oliveira after McGregor vs Poirier fight expressed his appreciation for the Irishman and said, “Conor deserves a standing ovation. I don’t like the way he sells the fight, the way he talks. But as an athlete, he’s a giant. The guy influences millions of people and earns millions of dollars whether he wins or loses. He has my respect."
