How Michael Bisping helped Conor McGregor get into the UFC

Michael Bisping who is an English sports analyst, actor, commentator, and retired mixed martial artist has had a bittersweet relationship with the Irishman. From taking help to an online rant, let's dig in to find out more about how Bisping helped McGregor.

An Inspiration

Bisping had a long career in the UFC which he thinks inspired McGregor. During an interview with Metro.co.uk, Bisping was asked if McGregor motivates him to which Bisping responded, "I motivate Conor McGregor. When Conor McGregor was learning to stand to throw his first punch, I was kicking ass in the UFC."

On Helping McGregor

Michael Bisping revealed that he helped the Irishman sign with Paradigm Sports Management.

On Irishman's Manager

Bisping also revealed how McGregor came to him looking for a manager once and how after introducing McGregor to Paradigm Sports Management, its founder Audie Attar later became the Irishman's manager and his company currently manages some of the biggest names in combat sports like Israel Adesanya, Manny Pacquiao, Michael 'Venom' Page and Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson.

What Destroyed Their Relationship?

Bisping and McGregor were initially on good terms but back in 2016, McGregor was offered a role in a popular action movie featuring Vin Diesel which the Irishman denied as he wanted to focus on his rematch against Diaz at the time. Bisping later auditioned for a movie and was offered a role to which McGregor responded that he had handed the role on a silver platter to 'The Count'.

Bisping vs McGregor Feud

The latest public back-and-forth between 5he two began after the Irishman fired shots at Bisping’s acting career. The feud escalated with McGregor sharing a series of profane tweets starting with “cave head in”. 

McGregor Addressed the Feud

McGregor recently shared a voice message addressing his beef with Bisping and called it sheer acting and that he had no intention of meaning app what he said earlier. He said, “Brother, all love, my man. God bless the show, God bless the fam, and God bless my man. Oh yeah!” Bisping responded to the feud and expressed on Twitter, he stated "Ain’t no beef at this end. I don’t even think about him. He just came out of the blue chatting sh*t about my acting work for some reason, so we had a laugh about it on the podcast. Have a good one bro."
