In episode #1946 of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan shared his first impression of Gaethje in the UFC.

Rogan said, “Yeah, Gaethje came over from the PFL. He was a PFL champion, and he came over to the UFC and it was like one of the most exciting prospects. I remember thinking like this guy is wild.” Furthermore, he said, “He is the most violent guy in the most violent sport.”

The Irishman made recent remarks against his upcoming opponent Michael Chandler whom he will be facing at The Ultimate Fighter 31 as coach. McGregor said: “I think I’m going to slice through him. I think I’m a little too slicey for him than anyone else he’s fought. A little too snappy and whippy, and I think I’ll slice through him.“
