Enjoying some time off the Octagon since his last fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, ‘Mystic Mac’ recently was in attendance at game 4 of the NBA finals. During halftime, as the game hung in balance between Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets, he joined in on a promotional skit for ‘TIDL Sport’ recovery spray.
In an interaction with reporters, the Dubliner said, “The mascot’s good, my man. The mascot’s good. It was a skit, and it went the way it went. All is well.” He continued, “I spent a lot of time with him afterward. We smoothed it out and everyone’s great. It was a skit. It was part of the show my man.”
In March 2022, the Irish police took the 22-6 record holder into custody as they accused him of “alleged road traffic violations”. His representative, Karen Kessler, told ESPN, “Mr. McGregor was driving to the gym when he was stopped by [Irish police] for alleged road traffic violations.”
This case is proceeding slowly till today, as the legal proceedings are still underway. His run-ins with driving violations date back to 2017 and 2018.
