The UFC color commentator has a top trending podcast named 'JRE' where he invites guests to talk and discuss an array of subjects. But his podcast has made a teacher pay a huge price. What is it? Dig in to find out.

What?

The education department recently stripped a New York teacher of her job because she gave her students an assignment that required watching episode 1757 of The Joe Rogan Experience featuring Dr. Robert Malone.

Who is Dr. Robert Malone?

He is an American physician and biochemist. He is a noted personality and famous among science enthusiasts. But in late 2021 during the Covid-19 period, Dr. Malone reportedly promoted misinformation about Covid-19 and pushed back on the Government’s narrative of Covid-19 and its vaccinations which later led to his ban on Twitter.

What Was the Assignment About?

A teacher named Mrs. Rickson in New York gave an assignment to her students that included watching a Joe Rogan podcast. She also asked students two questions first, “why was he (Dr. Robert Malone) banned from Twitter?” and second, “Do you think our Constitutional rights are being upheld or violated? Explain.”

What Happened to Mrs. Rickson?

An appeal was filed against the teacher at the ‘New York State’s Department of Education’. Post this, Mrs. Rickson got fired from her job. She was also accused of “misusing” her power.
