Joe Rogan is an expert in several martial arts forms including Karate, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai. He started training for it quite early on when he was 14 to gain self-confidence while growing up.
Wrestling was a part of Rogan's schedule early on in his life, but he didn’t cut much weight for wrestling and practiced it to improve his body strength.
Rogan has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He started practicing karate at the age of 13. While Karate was one of Joe’s first disciplines, he started with Karate when he was 14. Rogan was the Massachusetts Full Contact Taekwondo champion for four consecutive years.
Rogan has a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu under the guidance of the legendary martial arts instructor Jean Jacques Machado. He earned his third black belt in Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu. Rogan began training in Jiu-Jitsu from Carlson Gracie, the cousin of Royce Gracie.
