Platforms are lining up to snatch ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ as his mammoth contract with Spotify is reportedly drawing to a close a $200 million worth deal signed in 2020 for 3.5 years.
Spotify CEO said – “You’re right in calling out the overpaying and over-investing. I can start off by saying that we’re not going to do that”. This means that famous podcasters like Joe Rogan and Michelle Obama may not be in line for another massive payday from Spotify.
Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski recently expressed his declaration in an interview about his interest in signing Joe Rogan. He acknowledged Rogan’s Spotify exclusive contract but kept his approach positive towards Rogan for a future partnership.
Pavlovski said, “He’s with Spotify exclusively, but we very much look forward to working with Joe Rogan in the future if he wishes. We would be interested in putting forth an offer when that time comes.”
Rumble stepped up and offered a $100 million deal which the BJJ black belt turned down. Eventually, Rogan had the support of Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, and the pair continued their partnership.
“If he ever wants to come to Rumble, we’re open to negotiating with him and putting forth an offer. I’m a big fan of Joe Rogan and I would love to have him on Rumble,” added Pavlovski.
