Demetrious Johnson plans to reach out to retired fighters Urijah Faber, Georges St-Pierre, and Khabib Nurmagomedov to understand their reasons for retirement.
The fighter acknowledged that he was no longer fighting to prove himself, but was instead motivated by money.
He said, “I talk to my close friends who don’t do mixed martial arts and they’re like, ‘What else are you trying to prove?’ And I’m like, ‘I’m trying to get this money, I’m trying to get this bag.’”
