Isabel Wright, a 13-year-old from Warwickshire, cycled 700 miles across the UK in 12 days to raise $2,500 for Redwings Horse Sanctuary, accompanied by her father, Rich Jones, and friend Dave Wright. The heartwarming journey to all Redwings' centers in England and Scotland ended with a touching reunion near her home. Wright started this impressive journey at the young age of 13, showing remarkable strength by cycling on a tandem bike from Scotland to England, stopping at every Redwings' visitor center.

A Journey of Inspiration

When she was eight, Izzy visited Redwings Horse Sanctuary, which sparked her passion and connection to the center. Through this challenge, she accomplished a personal milestone and fulfilled her mission of supporting the sanctuary.

"I visited Oxhill with my Grandma when I was eight, and it inspired me to raise funds for Redwings," Izzy shared. "This marked my third fundraiser for them, and it was truly meaningful to conclude it there. It had its tough moments, but it was also incredibly enjoyable."

The journey began in Forfar, Scotland, on August 19 and ended at Redwings Oxhill Visitor Center on August 30. Rich stated, "We're all thrilled to finish. Dave and I did half each, while Izzy did the whole thing. She's returning to school this week, and we're already planning next year's adventure!"
