Few seconds into the start of the race, horse 'Fire Stel' fell after clipping heels with another horse and was immediately vanned off. However, as expected, the 3-year-old black colt died due to serious racing injuries.

Fire Stel is the seventh horse to die from a racing or training injury at the Cypress track this year.
