After Noah Lyles' stellar performance at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, the track and field community was expecting the American to clinch the title of Diamond League finals as well. However, it did not happen the same way everyone hoped for.

Noah Lyles' winning spree ended after his fellow American athlete, the 27-year-old Christian Coleman, charged the time of 9.83 seconds for covering 100m. at the Eugene Diamond League.

Coleman flexed a great start on the tracks while Noah tried to balance the distance with his bullet run in the race's second half but could not do so, falling short by 0.02 seconds.

"I was able to just find a sense of confidence and believe in myself like I knew I was supposed to win this race and so I was able to stay composed and put out a win at the end, " Christian told media after his unbelievable victory.
