500 People Hike at Cranmore Mountain Resort, Raising $150,000 for Individuals Battling a Deadly Disease

Since 1998, the Jen's Friends Cancer Foundation has been showing its humane side in the battle against the deadly disease of cancer. Every year, it organizes a climb to raise funds for the treatment of cancer patients. Similar to every year, this year also ended with a great success.

The history of the foundation

The Jen's Friends Cancer Foundation, Mount Washington Valley, initiated its first climb on October 17, 1998. The club was named after Jen Hill, who succumbed to cancer. Since then, the organization continued to raise funds by arranging an annual climb to support underprivileged cancer patients.

An overwhelming response

On September 16, 500 people assembled at Cranmore Mountain Resort and performed a climb. The authorities have arranged stage performances to make the event more glittering. Observing the event's grand success, the Vice President of the Foundation, Joann Daley, stated, ‘I could not believe it…”

A considerable amount was raised

The climb earned authority over $145,000, which exceeded their expectation. However, the counting is still yet to be finished, which will let the amount stand at $150,000.
