Another star of the sports world is lost forever, leaving the community in mourning. The 84-year-old Lehigh Valley area high school football coach, Bob Stem, has peacefully passed away. The multi-talented personality was the epitome of resilience and success.

Stem came from a struggling background

The football coach had faced the brutality of poverty before commencing his journey as a sportsman. But Stem's hard work eventually paid off as his journey to success soon began with the AFL in 1963 with the Boston Patriots.

His astounding career records

He commenced his journey with Syracuse University when he joined their National Championship team as a center and linebacker and was an integral team member. The football star continued to flourish but eventually returned to Phillipsburg as a coach in 1973.

The sports world mourns the loss of a star

The demise of Stem has created an irreplaceable void in the sports world. While recalling his efforts, Phillipsburg High School's athletic director, Kyle Fleming, stated, "Coach Stem has a unique way of making everyone in the room feel sincerely important."
