The unique pledge of the universities

The League of American Bicyclists, known as LAB, collaborated with universities to ensure safe cycling and encourage bike usage for transportation. Bill Nesper, the executive director of LAB stated about the new innitiative, "we’re investing in a future that is more welcoming to all people who bike."

The universities present a wider space

Various campus sizes characterize the 2023 BFU-awarded universities, all of which have implemented effective strategies to support bicyclists. Irrespective of the size and specification, universities redecorated their campus to keep the bikes safe.

List of awarded universities

According to the LAB, the platinum-level bicycle-friendly universities are the top-level universities, followed by the gold, silver, and bronze. Stanford University, Colorado State University, and others have renewed their names in the platinum list.The rise in higher BFU award levels reflects the growing commitment to invest in better bicycling.
