Recently, the Wexford community experienced a tragic incident on a beautiful, calm evening. A massive surge of misery hit the Saunders family in the form of the tragic death of Alex Saunders, the 14-year-old boy, who was pronounced dead after three days of battle.

The mishap occurred in the boy’s own home

On a fine afternoon, the family of Alex Saunders found him motionless in their home pool when they rescued him. They promptly reached to the emergency services to provide him with medical care.

Doctor’s Three days battle

The National Ambulance Service tried their best on their way to Wexford General Hospital. However, the boy was transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital, where the doctors strived hard to stand tall in anticipation of the family, but in vain. On Sunday evening, the doctors pronounced him dead to crash all the hopes of his family and friends.

The Saunders family is quite well known in their community due to the boy's mother, Patience Saunders’, association with the Collective Sensory Group. The community as a whole is still in disbelief about what has happened to the family. They expressed their condolences and regards to them.
