‘She Would Be Really Upset’- Serena Williams’ Emotional Distress After Her Infant Daughter Olympia Took Her Absence a ‘Little Hard’ in 2019

Former American tennis star Serena Williams had a really hard task managing her duties as a tennis player and a mother. While we were enjoying her brilliance on the court, the 23-time Grand Slam champion was missing her daughter. Back in 2019, Serena spoke about the pain of staying away from her then-two-year-old daughter Olympia. And again, while playing in the US Open 2019, Serena spoke in detail regarding the same.

Serena Williams missed her daughter while playing tennis.

Serena was in a good form in the 2019 US Open. After winning her third-round match, the American spoke about the reason she prefers playing in the day. As she missed her daughter Olympia.

What did Serena say?

“I actually prefer playing in the day because I get to go home and see my baby. I’ve been missing her the last few nights when I play,” Serena revealed in an interview with people.com.

Serena had more to add.

She further added, “In the beginning, she would really be upset when I left. And now she’s a little bit better. I think I’m a little more upset. But at the same time, she definitely still takes it a little hard. She’s still super young.”

After Serena's retirement they have been doing alot of activities together.

Serena continued to play the dual role for the next three years. When she finally hung her racket earlier this year, her five-year-old daughter was there to cheer her mother one last time in professional tennis. Serena is dedicating a significant amount of her time to Olympia now. The little one is also getting some important baking lessons from her mother.
