Martina Navratilova shocked the tennis realm in 1981 when she came out as a homosexual. The world was not ready for the revelation and despite knowing that she will face the brunt of it; she did it anyway. On the same lines, women tennis players have come out as homosexuals. However, the hesitation among the male lot derived questions. American tennis sensation, Taylor Fritz, recently talked about the plausible reason behind it.
The tennis realm saw yet another woman’s tennis player coming out in 2022. This is proof of the female players feeling comfortable enough to accept themselves in every sphere of their social life.

Taylor Fritz clarifies the reason behind the male players not coming out as homosexuals:
However, the case has not been the same for the male players as there has not been even a single male player that has come out. This has led many to question the absence of homosexuals on the ATP circuit, or is it the stigma surrounding it? The American tennis sensation, Taylor Fritz, recently opened up about this. He told Clay Tenis, “I’m not sure if there are homosexual tennis players in the top 100.” He clarified the misconception that the male players are hiding behind the doors.
However, he also said, “Statistically speaking, they should be. Statistically. But not that I know.” Fritz opened up about it and said, “I think people would be accepting. I couldn’t tell you why (no one has come out).”
