WrestleMania 39 took place in Hollywood, Los Angeles. With The Bloodline story reaching its peak, the WWE Universe was expecting Dwayne Johnson to dethrone Roman Reigns in the city that he rules. Blood facing blood would have been a match of a lifetime for the fans to see. However, Johnson denied the fans this opportunity.
In a recent interview, he told the fans that The Rock vs. Reigns was locked for WrestleMania 39. But due to some creative differences, it couldn’t take place. However, WWE legend Jeff Jarrett believes otherwise. He thinks there’s more to this matter than meets the eye.

“There was a lot going on behind the scenes,” said Jeff Jarrett
Speaking on My World podcast, Jarrett said that he doesn’t buy that uninspiring creative was the only reason for Johnson not headlining WrestleMania this year. Johnson is an actor, pro wrestler, and whatnot, but most importantly, he is a businessman. Businessmen know where and where to invest time and energy.

He said, “I’m not sure I’m buying that Rock was uninspired going into SoFi this year. We all know what happened the day after [Endeavor bought WWE]. Well, I just think there was a lot going on behind the scenes. Vince coming back, the sale, the merger, the executive situation.”
Jarrett speculates that there must have been some other reason Johnson didn’t wrestle at WrestleMania 39. And now he is open to main event WrestleMania 40 also makes him think that something has changed which is appealing to him to do next year what he didn’t do this year.
Well, whatever the reason may be the only thing that matters for the WWE Universe is that they get to see The Rock at Mania 40 next year.

The Rock might grant fans’ wishes this time
So far, things are looking to be headed in the right direction when it comes to Johnson being at WrestleMania 40. In the Pat McAfee show last week, he told the fans that though he can’t fully confirm anything; he is open to the idea of wrestling at ‘Mania next year.
This is a huge statement coming out of the mouth of Johnson himself. Johnson’s recent appearance on SmackDown amid the Hollywood strike has led people to believe that maybe finally Johnson will get some time for WWE from his busy acting schedule.

In addition, WWE is under Endeavor now and Johnson has a business relationship with UFC’s parent company. This might play an enormous factor in making the Reigns vs. Rock match possible. What do you have to say about Jeff Jarrett’s statement? Do you agree with him?
