“He Blew Me Off”: Legendary Musician Treated Stone Cold Steve Austin Like Trash Despite His Insane Popularity in the WWE Attitude Era

Stone Cold Steve Austin had many embarrassing encounters on LIVE WWE TV while having funny segments. Apart from being a serious competitor, The Texas Rattlesnake also had a comedic element to his character in WWE, which was loved by the fans.

However, once Austin shared his embarrassing encounter with another celebrity outside WWE. He was feeling a bit awkward while narrating the story.

Stone Cold Steve Austin shared the incident while appearing on a segment– Interviews Under the Influence on Entertainment Tonight. He recalled a major embarrassing encounter with KISS band member Paul Stanley.

Austin said, “Growing up, I was a huge fan of the rock and roll band KISS. So we’re at a party and we had mutual friends. So Paul Stanley was the lead singer, and it’s not that it was awkward. We saw each other from about 20 feet away as we were walking together. I’m thinking okay, I’m Stone Cold Steve Austin, you know he is Paul Stanley, surely he will recognizes me.”

He added, “We could have chance to shake hands and talk about the music business. So anyways my buddy was running his and goes, ‘Hey Stu, this is Steve Austin’. I shook his hand (and) I go on just launch a bunch of stories and he just completely blows right by me. He blew me off.”

Austin was clearly not hoping this while meeting his rock and roll star. It seems Paul Stanley isn’t a WWE fan or was in an extreme hurry during that party.

However, it seems later Austin’s and Stanley’s mutual friend had talked with the KISS Band lead singer. He might have told him The Rattlesnake wanted to meet him at the party as both were present there.

The Rock is the Hollywood celebrity Stone Cold Steve Austin wants to face

Every wrestling fan will agree on the point that Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock had one of the best rivalries in WWE. They had the best in-ring chemistry, which made the fans go berserk. However, in the interview with KiddNation, when asked which Hollywood celebrity will Austin like to face, his answer was The Rock.

Austin said, “As far as celebrity goes, I don’t know. That’s, ohh, since The Rock is a celebrity I think it would be fun to get back in the ring with The Rock. But I’m not pitching a match, since you said celebrity, Rock’s the biggest movie star in the world.”

Austin claimed he had fun working with The Rock and they both respect each other’s careers. If this was a possible match in 2015, the WWE universe would have gone crazy. However, we never got to see The Rock vs Austin again, but Stone Cold came out of retirement for one match at WrestleMania 38 against Kevin Owens.
