Wrestlers are known to have a keen interest in other major sports as well. Dwayne Johnson’s love for football has never been hidden, particularly his being the co-owner of the revamped XFL. Another WWE legend has provided his unhinged opinion on an NFL legend. He was quite forthcoming about his views and did not hold back a bit in speaking his mind. Even performers are not immune to the fever that is football. The popular league enjoys a viewership of about a million and a half per game. That speaks volumes about its extraordinary reach, which knows no limits. Wrestling legend Ric Flair recently called for an NFL great to hang up his boots. He was talking about none other than Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

Ric Flair speaks on Tom Brady

The Buccaneers recently lost a one-sided match against Dallas Cowboys. And The Nature Boy was quite honest in his assessment of Brady. Speaking at his To Be The Man Podcast he said, “I’m sad actually. I get it he {Tom Brady} throws for 351 yards two TDS one interception but he needs to retire okay. I don’t get it. I want the rest of the team to get your ball. Swagu {Marcus Spears} Oh My God he’s buried him. Really Swaggued 256 tackles and how many seasons and I think 12 sacks but he’s an authority“.

A WWE return for The Queen

Ric Flair, on the other hand, had a great end to 2022. His daughter Charlotte Flair shockingly appeared and beat Ronda Rousey in the last SmackDown of the year. And in turn, became a 14-time women’s champion, only two shy of her father’s all-time record of 16 titles. The last blue brand event of the year also featured a squared circle return for WWE legend and actor John Cena.

While there is no one doubting Tom Brady’s greatness, many people would share the same sentiment as Flair. But after enjoying a long and rewarding career, it should definitely be Brady’s call on when to call it a day on his career.
