Floyd Mayweather, Mike Tyson, Canelo Alvarez, & Other Boxers Combined Have Turned Down Around $500 Million Offer in Their Career

From multi-million offers to a billion-dollar deal getting turned down, the entire sports fraternity has been moving ahead with the right choices as per their likings. From the golf legend, Tiger Woods turning down a $1 Billion offer to join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series to 'The Money Mayweather' turning down multiple deals. Here's a list of boxers who turned down massive paychecks.

Floyd Mayweather Jr

The 'Money Mayweather' turned down not one but multiple million dollar deals as per his liking. He once declined a $65 million offer from Singapore to face Manny Pacquiao. Not just this he also turned down $12.5 million offered by HBO at the beginning of his career and added a pause to a $100million payday offered by Pacquiao with a split of the Pay-Per-View (PPV) revenue along with the winner taking home 70%.

Manuel Marquez

Marquez once turned down a $150 million offer to fight Pacquiao. He was apparently offered $150 million to fight Pacquiao in the fifth fight to which he said that his pride and love for the sport are much greater than the money.

Canelo Alvarez


As per the reports, Alvarez turned down $100 million for a two-fight deal presented by Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) worth $100 million to fight Jermall Charlo followed by either Errol Spence Jr or David Benavidez. But Alvarez went ahead with signing a three-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing and DAZN

Manny Pacquiao


Pacquiao once rejected a $40 million purse that was proposed by Mayweather citing that he will get the $40 million but will have no share on the pay-per-view and other sources of revenue. He found the idea of leaving him out of the pay-per-view wrong and unreasonable.

Mike Tyson

As per the reports, Tyson once rejected a guaranteed $25 million offer for a trilogy fight with Evander Holyfield.
