Picture of Deontay Wilder’s Sparring Partner Following Horrific Orbital Bone Injury Goes Viral: “Let’s Hope He’s Got a Good Surgeon”

On July 30th, Isaac Chamberlain went up against Chris Billam-Smith for 12 scheduled rounds. The two fought till the last remaining second and in the end, Billam-Smith won via the Unanimous Decision. Quite interestingly, both the boxers entered the bout with 2 TKOs and 1 KO from three of their last six fights. Billam-Smith, 31, was three years older than Chamberlain, 28, and had a one-inch height advantage against the latter who stood 6′ 2″ tall.
During the fight, Chamberlain suffered an eye injury in the form of a broken orbital bone. A photo of the same has gone viral on Twitter. Reportedly, Isaac Chamberlain sparred with the former heavyweight champion of the world, Deontay Wilder.

Standing in close proximity, the two, Chamberlain and Billam-Smith, frequently exchanged some heavy shots. Billam-Smith caught Chamberlain with a couple of good lead hooks to the head. The eye injury resulted from the hammering of those powerful and relentless round punches as hooks.
