As a celebration of completing 60 years in motorsports, McLaren has unveiled a Google Chrome-themed livery for the Silverstone race weekend. Notably, they will pay homage to the classic McLaren that was used from 2006 to 2014. McLaren driver, Lando Norris will wear a new helmet and a pair of boots for the race.
Talking to Sky Sports, Norris said, “It’s the modern twist to it. A chrome car is what got me into supporting McLaren. In 2007, when I was seven-years-old, was when I really got into watching Formula 1.”
