Hamilton's Mercedes exit ruled out for one crucial reason

Despite a fiery confrontation with Toto Wolff, F1 journalist Peter Windsor dismisses the possibility of Lewis Hamilton leaving Mercedes. The key reason cited is the limited options for Hamilton to join a top team, making a move unlikely. Windsor said in his YouTube video, "But then, if he doesn’t go to Ferrari in all the chaos, where is he going to go? He’s not going to go to Red Bull, so he might as well stay where he is.”

Unrest and struggles at Mercedes since the Austrian GP

Tensions have arisen between Hamilton and Wolff following frustrations at the Red Bull Ring, where car performance issues led to penalties. Speculations about their relationship have grown, further exacerbated by Mercedes' struggles at Silverstone. Windsor said, "If Mercedes are really bad there[Hungary] then Lewis going into the August break is going to start thinking about his future".

Hamilton impressed by McLaren's performance

Hamilton praised McLaren's upgrades, describing their car, the MCL60, as a "rocketship." He was impressed by their speed in high-speed corners and engaged in a competitive battle with Lando Norris during the race restart.
