“That’s Not Fair!”: New York Yankees Flop Intrigues Fans by Splurging $16,000 on Unique Aaron Judge Portrait

MLB fans usually do anything to get their hands on their favorite player’s jersey, bat, ball, gloves, or anything. Recently, there was a charity event that took place, where a painting of the New York Yankees captain, Aaron Judge, was up for grabs. After a bidding war, Judge’s teammate took home the painting.

Aaron Judge’s painting

In this charity event, an artist was painting a portrait of Aaron Judge live while everyone was having their dinner. Lifelong Yankees fan, BAT1STA started the bidding, as he posted on Twitter about it. Then it was a three-way battle between Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, and Josh Donaldson.

Josh Donaldson got the painting

AS per BAT1STA, Donaldson, who is currently nursing a hamstring injury, bought the painting for $16,000. But the money will eventually go to the charity and it was for a good cause.

Fans react to Donaldson getting the painting

Meanwhile, many fans thought it was not fair for Donaldson to get his hands on the painting. One fan wrote, “That’s not fair !!” One more fan thinks the painting will be worth plenty in the future, as he said, “Wonder what that will be worth 10 years from now.”
