Yankees captain Aaron Judge is currently nursing a hip injury, as he is getting ready for his comeback. Meanwhile, he recently talked about his idols growing up. Although he is a Yankees player, he did not name Yankees legend Derek Jeter as one of his idols.

Meanwhile, last year’s MVP, Judge signed a 9-year deal with the Yankees worth $360 million. Apparently, there was interest from the San Francisco Giants as well. However, Judge chose the Yankees. It was kind of strange considering he recently revealed that he was a huge Giants fan growing up. 


Derek Jeter got snubbed 


Notably, Derek Jeter played 20 years in MLB and spent all those years with the Yankees. Certainly, he is a Yankees legend. Once, Judge talked about getting an autograph from Jeter. However, Judge did not make the cut in terms of Judge’s baseball idols.

He said, “You know, kind of growing up near the Bay Area, I watched a lot of Giants games… So, I was a big Rich Aurilia fan, Jeff Kent, Barry Bonds. They made the game look easy at times and it was always a treat, a treat back then.”
