Former Yankee Alex Rodriguez made over $455 million playing baseball. Now, he’s made a particularly successful transition from home run king to investor, working to build on that fortune off the baseball diamond.
Rodriguez has built a vast portfolio through his company, A-Rod Corp, investing in at least 62 companies including the likes of Dick’s Sporting Goods, investment app Acorns, speaker maker JBL and virtual concert platform Wave.
On top of that, A-Rod has teamed up with former Walmart head of ecommerce Marc Lore to start a firm called VCP.
What A-Rod said on this
“I really like to invest in what I really know. When I understand, I like to go narrow and deep, not wide and shallow.”
