DURING THE CLOSING STAGES OF THE CUP SERIES RACE IN FONTANA, DEFENDING CHAMPION KYLE LARSON, OBLIVIOUS TO THE CHARGING DRIVER BEHIND HIM, CLOSED THE GAP ON HIS RIGHT. THIS MEANT THE DRIVER BEHIND HIM SCRAPED THE WALL, AND NATURALLY, BLASTED THE HENDRICK DRIVER ON THE RADIO. INTERESTINGLY, IN THIS INSTANCE, THE OTHER DRIVER WAS LARSON’S OWN TEAMMATE, CHASE ELLIOTT.
Kyle Larson, unknowingly, turned to his right and into his teammate. This made Chase hit the wall, taking some damage. The damage later casued Elliott to spin out.
Elliott's car spun out of nowhere, down the midfield. Some believe that it was an intentional move, done to bring out a caution, in an attempt to sabotage Larson's race.
Bubba's spotter, Freddie Kraft is one of the people who believe it was an intentional move. Freddie explains why he feels so.
Freddie Kraft feels that Elliott's comments also tell a lot about what will happen.
