Kyle Busch has finally secured his future with Richard Childress Racing! But the current driver of the #8, Tyler Reddick, got stuck in the middle. As you might already know, Reddick will drive for 23XI Racing from 2024. And his future boss, Denny Hamlin, pulled out the big guns, as he mocks the announcement and uses Richard Childress’s statement against him.
Soon after the announcement, the owner issued a statement. Of course, it’s pretty sad he announced his departure from a team that has been so good to him.
But, take special note of the last line, “timing of this announcement could not be worse.”
Well, as soon as the news about Kyle Busch came out, his teammate, Hamlin, tweeted a goodbye message, appreciating the time they spent as teammates. Of course, he wished him luck on his journey and all the other formalities. But the last line of his tweet is the one that will make some jaws drop.
The last line of his tweet is a direct hit at the statement Richard Childress gave when Reddick announced he will leave the team to join 23XI Racing.
