What did Joey say?

“When you have a car like we have now, and the Xfinity cars are no different, even the trucks don’t seem that bad, but there, you can bump into each other. If you used to do that in the past, the way we bump each other, the nose gets bent in and wrinkled up. So you couldn’t afford to do that. Or you get fenders knocked in and it cut a tire down.”

Joey on NASCAR now vs back then

“You used to get ticked off if someone just touched you. Because you knew if you get a fender rub, it’ll knock your fenders in and you’re scr*wed now. It used to make you so mad. And now it’s a little doink on the side; no big deal, keep going. It doesn’t bother me anymore.”

“That is why IndyCars and F1 cars don’t run into each other because their cars fall apart. They really can’t afford to touch each other, and they get mad when they do. We went far the other way.”
