Denny Hamlin, in his latest podcast episode, shared his thoughts with his friend and co-host of the show, Jared Allen. With the team owner negotiating with NASCAR officials in the background, the driver had harsh words on how things were portrayed following the alleged “boycott” scenario!

What did Denny say?

“I saw this you know printed out that the owners have boycotted Wednesday’s meeting, that’s not, that word probably shouldn’t have been used, uh basically each team, uh made their own decision not to go.”

Denny shares some inside scoop


“So we hold owner’s meetings the day before we have our meeting with NASCAR to kinda group together out thoughts and kind of talk about the things that NASCAR has listed as their subjects of um subjects of what we’re gonna speak upon for the meetings.”

What did he say in addition?

“We kind of regroup and for um it sort of time where the uh TMC which is known as the uh negotiating committee which is made up of Dave Alpern from Joe Gibbs Racing, Curtis Polk [Michael Jordan’s Associate] from 23Xl Racing, we have Steve Newmark from uh RFK and you have Jeff Gordon from Hendrick Motorsports. So there were the main 4 that was speaking with O’ Dennell, and Steve Phelps and Scott Prime.”
