Denny Hamlin is the first among the list of drivers that faced NASCAR’s wrath, slamming the driver for his open admission of wrecking Ross Chastain in Phoenix. In the recent Door Bumper Clear, Freddie Kraft, spotter for 23XI Racing reacted to NASCAR penalizing Denny Hamlin for his revelations.
“I think that NASCAR scr*wed up Denny’s penalty because, all they had to say was, this guy admitted to wreck somebody on the podcast, if they would’ve said that I dont think Denny has a legit stand on it but then they went in to say, ‘He manipulated the race, he did this and that.’”
“Ross manipulated it. Everybody manipulates the race. Everybody on the racetrack is trying to manipulate the race in their favor.”
The rivalry started out way back last year when Ross bumped into Hamlin at Atlanta, sending him spinning out of control. With multiple incidents like these last year, the frustrated Joe Gibbs Racing driver decided to exact his revenge at Phoenix.
