NASCAR is undoubtedly one of the most popular racing sports in America. Over the years, we have seen many memorable races. Unfortunately, we have seen some unfortunate crashes as well, as fans of the sport still get goosebumps thinking about it. Here are the 5 worst crashes in NASCAR history.
In the 2010 Pocono race, Elliott Sadler suffered a big crash. In that same race Kurt Busch also had a crash but Sadler’s crash was more out of the blue. The engine of his car came out and Sadler looked in visible pain after the crash.

The 2009 Talladega race saw Carl Edwards and unknown Brad Keselowski going head to head. As Keselowski was trying to pass him, Edwards tried to block him. Edwards suffered a serious crash, and the two drivers haven't seen eye to eye since.

In the 2009 Mexico race, Carlos Pardo was leading the race when the horrifying crash took place. His car was totally destroyed and he lost his life. But he was declared the winner because Pardo was leading the race.

During the qualifying of the Texas race in 2008, McDowell had a freak accident. Many people actually knew his name after he suffered that crash. Fortunately, he did not receive any serious injuries.

In one of NASCAR’s fastest tracks, Bodine suffered a horrible crash. There’s literally nothing left in his car. Many thought he could not survive that crash, but he walked away unharmed.
