Team Chemistry

The 'Last Dance' depicted that the 96' Chicago Bulls' teammates had their share of scuffles and had incidents during practice, which is very normal in a team sport. All in all, they were on a mission and their chemistry would stand out on the floor. The result was beautiful team basketball from player 1 to player 12.

Determination of Michael Jordan

We all know MJ was a highly competitive player, the craziest we have ever seen. But in the 1995-96 season, he reached a new level of determination. Why is that? The season prior, he was embarrassed by the Orlando Magic in the playoffs which made him work even harder than before. The result was that MJ came back in the best shape of his life and was in his prime.

Defense

This aspect of the team is often overlooked. They had the greatest defense of all time and were as good as the Bad Boy Pistons but without the brutality. MJ, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman are three of the top 10 defenders of all time and there were some other great defenders in addition to them as well. They only let their opponents score 92 points on average.

The growth of Scottie Pippen

When MJ retired a while before this season, Scottie Pippen became the main guy on the Bulls team. For him, this was career-altering and helped him grow as a basketball player. He had the responsibility to carry the team every single night and he was so good that he was very close to winning the MVP award that year. When MJ did come back, he got a far more confident player to play alongside and could rely on when he took a break.

Their incredible bench

A team is only as good as its bench and the Bulls had an amazing one. There was Steve Kerr, John Spider-Sally, and even Tony Kukoc. The best thing about Kukoc was that he was clutch as hell, exactly what they needed.
