Aaron Rodgers Walks Away from Decade-Long $131.2 Billion Endorsement Deal, Days After $35 Million Paycut

Aaron Rodgers, the four-time NFL MVP, recently experienced a significant financial setback after parting ways with an organization he had been with for over a decade. Following Rodgers's pay cut of $35 million, the organization confirmed the news of the contract termination to the media.

Aaron Rodgers parted ways with a billion dollar deal

NFL veteran Aaron Rodgers and State Farm, an insurance company, called an end to their deal signed in 2011, a 12-year contract, which made Rodgers over $3 million annually. Following the expiration of their agreement, State Farm signed a deal with the two-time Super Bowl Champion, Patrick Mahomes.

Rodgers’ recent massive pay cut

Another significant pay cut hit the QB recently when he signed the deal with the New York Jets. According to the report, Rodgers endorsed a reduction of $35 million, as his previous contract was worth $110 million, while this one is merely $75 million.

Rodgers emphasized on longer  association

When asked about the reason behind the massive pay cut, the QB commented, "The team gave up significant pieces for it to be just a one-year deal. I am aware of that." Additionally, he stated that he thought it would be something other than a one-year association, just before revealing the contract, that technically keeps him with the Jets until 2027.
