Derek Carr For MVP and Cowboys in Trouble; Takeaways from NFL Thanksgiving Week

Week 12 has proved itself to be a thrilling one. Here's a recollection from the past three games from week 12 of the 2021 campaign.

Derek Carr, a Legit MVP Candidate

Carr performed really well, pushing his team to an important 36-33 win. He was ranked second among the passers having a 111.5 passer rating. Then Carr even scored a 109.0 passer rating during the fourth quarter.

Cowboys seem to be in trouble

Although Dak Prescott has qualified as an MVP candidate, looking at his game, it's obvious that he has slowed down. This might be because of the depleted supporting cast. The team suffered too many penalties which actually led to the creation of an unwanted record.

Not a good game by the Lions

The match between the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions was so slow and boring that it might have put the crowd in the arena to sleep. The Lions currently stand at 4-14 in their last 18 Thanksgiving games.

Matt Nagy might be done being Bears head coach

With a 4-7 record, the Chicago Bears will not be a part of the postseason. It is believed that there's no way the Bears should give Matt Nagy more time.

The Bills win

Josh Allen and Buffalo Bills trounced New Orleans Saints. With a 7-4 record, they still remain one of the best performing teams in the AFC. If there's any franchise who can stick it to the Patriots, it's the Bills.

Saints should start preparing for 2022

After the loss to Buffalo Bills, it looks the Saints are no longer actual postseason favorites. Despite wins against the Super Bowl Champions, the loss to Buffalo clearly proves why Sean Payton's side needs to focus on next season.
