During his phone call on the Paul Finebaum Show, Griffin name-dropped Tim Tebow to coach the Gators. Griffin thinks the Gators should think out of the box and throw a wild card. He said, “Here’s an outlier for you if you have a little bit of time. My outlier is this; I think the Gators should hire Tim Tebow. I think they have to think outside the box for the next head coaching hire.”

Robert continues, “The word out there is that Dan Mullen wasn’t in love with recruiting. He wasn’t in love with the process and those things. But who’s going to really out-recruit Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and Jimbo Fisher, right?”
Florida should hire Tim Tebow as it’s next Head Coach. Let him be a passionate motivator and recruiter to restore it to greatness. Surround him with 3-4 previous head coaches on his staff to help develop the vision and implementation of the program. Let the OC and DC coach. https://t.co/PS1yHDZF82

Keeping the previous few coaches in mind, Griffin thinks Tebow is the right choice. “So, if you throw Tim Tebow in there, surround him with structure, have about three or four previous head coaches on his staff to help him figure out the vision of his program, that’s going to bring excitement to the Florida Gators. It’s going to have players be intrigued, excited about going into Gainesville and recreating that culture they had oh so long ago.” Griffin thinks Tim Tebow will fit right in, and with the help of the coaching staff, the Gators will be unstoppable.
Tebow has zero coaching experience but, according to Griffin, coaches do not need X’s and O’s; they need to be motivating, and Tebow is the best at it.

Tim Tebow played in the NFL for three seasons. He signed with the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets as a quarterback. After his time in the NFL, his career took a strange turn as he left football for baseball. He signed with the Mets in 2016. Tebow retired from sports in 2021. He clearly has a lot of experience in the game. Maybe Robert Griffin III is correct, and Tim Tebow could be the perfect fit for the Florida Gators.
