“I Can’t Help You”: Years Before Tom Brady Incident, Gisele Bündchen Revealed Why Overcaring Can Destroy Relationships


Gisele Bündchen, one of the top models in the world has pretty much earned everything in life. However, she had plenty of troubles in her personal life. Although she married the love of her life Tom Brady, their marriage did not last forever. Previously, she stated about one aspect of life, which could destroy relationships. 

Bündchen suffered a lot during her past relationships

It is worth mentioning that Bündchen dated many celebrities in the past, like Leonardo DiCaprio, Rico Mansur, Kelly Slater, and many others. She talked about suffering from panic attacks during her previous relationships. In 2006, she met Brady, and the couple got married in 2009. After 13 years of marriage, they decided to go their separate ways. As for their kids, Benjamin and Vivian, they are currently co-parenting them. 


Bündchen studied the philosophy of Kaballah

While studying the philosophy of Kaballah, Bündchen got to know about the concept of the ‘Bread of Shame. It says in order for an individual to earn the light in their life, the work of transformation should be self-centered. In her book, ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’, Bündchen wrote, “If we are over-giving or doing something for a person that they have not earned, we are giving them the Bread of Shame.”


Bündchen opened up about over sharing


In her memoir, she further wrote, “At one point I realized that no matter how much I gave, it never seemed to be enough. People would get upset when I said, ‘Sorry, I can’t help you.’ I was left feeling hurt and used. I learned that in any relationship, no way should one person do all the giving, and the other person all the taking, because resentment will start building up from both sides and the friendship will become damaged.” Meanwhile, Bündchen and Brady still share a healthy relationship after the divorce, as they spend time with their children quite often.
