“I Was Being Compared”: Aaron Rodgers’ Brother Once Complained He Never Achieved Anything in Football Due To Sibling’s Meteoric Rise

One of the greatest quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers has achieved plenty of things in the NFL. Since joining the Packers in 2005, his talent took him far in the league. On the other hand, Rodgers also had a brother, who followed the path of the Packers star. However, he did not achieve great things in the league and he blamed it on Rodgers’ rise in the NFL.

Aaron Rodgers’ record in the NFL

Although the Packers drafted Rodgers in the first round in the 2005 NFL Draft, he did not get to start regularly until 2008. Since his start, he quickly became one of the most prolific QBs in the league. In 2010, he won the Super Bowl with the Packers and became the Super Bowl MVP. Apart from that, he also won 4 MVP awards, which is a tremendous record for any QB.

Aaron Rodgers’ brother’s stint in the NFL

Jordan Rodgers, Aaron’s younger brother tried his luck in the NFL as well. The Jaguars initially signed him as an undrafted free agent after the 2013 NFL Draft. However, they released him in the same year. Then, the Buccaneers signed him as a part of their practice squad. After spending one season with them, he moved to the Dolphins in 2014, which did not last long as well. Later, he tried his luck in the CFL and decided to call it quits and became an ESPN analyst. Currently, he is making a career in the entertainment media.

Jordan blamed his downfall on Aaron

When Jordan failed to make his mark in the league, he blamed it on his elder brother Aaron, who was reaching new heights with the Packers. Jordan stated, “No matter what I did, it was never good enough for a coach or for a teammate, because I was being compared to someone who did it best.”
