Patrick Mahomes had a sensational season last year

Last year, Mahomes experienced one of the best seasons of his career, as he recorded 41 TDs in 17 games while throwing 5250 yards; he also had 4 rushing TDs in the regular season. Apart from that, he also won the Super Bowl MVP award after throwing 3 TD passes in the game. After a long celebration, he started his practice recently with a Niners QB.

Last year, the 49ers had plenty of problems in the QB position. Initially, they lost Trey Lance to an ankle injury. Then, they lost Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending injury. Later, rookie Brock Purdy showed great composure and took the team deep into the playoffs. Unfortunately, he also suffered a bad injury during the Conference Final against the Eagles. Both Lance and Purdy are slowly making their way to the team, while Garoppolo has been traded. On the other hand, the Niners recently signed Sam Darnold to strengthen the QB position.
