From Incomplete Quadriplegic to Para Surfing Champion, This Brave Lady Defying All Odds

Quadriplegia is a disease in which victim's all four limbs get paralyzed. Usually, patients suffering from this problem give up very easily. However, para-surfing champion Emma Dieters took it as a challenge and emerged as a champion. Check out her journey from being partially quadriplegic to a champion.

Emma had been suffering from severe neck pain for a long time, which, when diagnosed, was found to be incomplete Quadriplegia with her left side paralyzed while her right side was slightly movable.


How does she feel being in the ocean?

"When I get out there in the ocean, on a common day, it really relaxes me."

How did the para surfer got motivated to surf again?

"A kind nurse understood my emotions. So when I left the rehab center, she gave me Sam's number(Para surfer) who made me participate in surfing championships."

How does Emma surf in the ocean?

Emma usually surfs lying on his belly on her board. She also has a pusher and a catcher to get her in and out of the water.
