The Opening Ceremony for one of the most prestigious tournaments of surfing

As reported by ABC News, an opening ceremony for the upcoming US Open of Surfing was done on Friday morning, after which the contests start on Saturday.

The US Open of Surfing competition started on July 29 and will continue till August 6, which will determine that the deserving and talented surfers get their spot in the Championship Tour over the period of nine days.

"This is the gateway for every professional surfer- is Huntington Beach. So no matter who you are coming up in professional surfing, at some point, you had to tackle the pier, " said the US Open of Surfing announcer Kaipo Guerrero.
