In an incident reported by abc7 news, a man succumbed to drowning as he went to take a dip in a popular swimming hole at Lake Meredith, Texas.


What was the expected turn of events leading to death?

As confirmed by the National Park Service, some men went to spend some time together at the stilling basin. However, a 30-year-old black man from them went for a swim and did not get back to the surface after going under the water.

Was the body recovered?

Authorities confirmed that the man's body was recovered that night before 9:30 p.m. at a depth of water with a height of 8 to 10 feet.
