Viral Video Shows Surfer Riding Waves on a Motorbike

Surfing is a sport in which a surfer rides a wave of varying lengths while standing on a surfboard. However, an Australian surfer found surfing on a surfboard to be uninteresting, so he came up with his unique method: surfing while on a motorbike.

An unbelievable Surfing Stunt

This skilled stuntman surfed while riding a motorbike in 2015. Back in the day, this was a huge deal, and now it’s all over the internet again via @thesurfingmafia on Instagram. Despite being a rediscovered clip, it attracted almost half a million views as surfers relished the chance to revisit this breathtaking feat.

Robbie Maddison’s “Pipe Dream”

Robbie Maddison, an Australian stunt rider, merged his career with his childhood love into a short film called Robbie Maddison’s “Pipe Dream”. The four-minute video shows remarkable footage of the Australian riding the world-famous breaks at Teahupo’o and Papara in French Polynesia on a customized KTM 300 motocross bike.

It's no laughing matter

Teahupo’o is also one of the most dangerous surfing spots on the planet, with five recorded deaths since 2000. Loosely translated from Polynesian, its name means “the pile of heads.” However, the stunt rider managed to make his childhood goal come true, and the performance was a smashing success. The original video also received around 35 million views.
