Years After the Appearance of Swells at Skeleton Bay, Surfers Enjoy the World’s Longest Rejuvenated Wave Barrels

The Skeleton Coast, also known as the northern part of the Atlantic coast of Namibia, has got its old barreling sandbar waves back after a long halt of four years. Check out the following story to witness the surfer who surfed through the world's longest wave barrels for more than 30 seconds.

"It was so long. I was so deep. Just…the whole way. I think I got it from…halfway? Probably like a 45-second barrel? [Laughs.]," Maree said about his insane barrel session that he got through halfway.

The rejuvenated swells at the Skeleton Bay convinced the organizers for an event that was named Skeleton Bay Shootout, where the only rules were to show up and pull in the wave to surf for the longest time.
