From Cleveland Browns to Kansas City Chiefs; NFL Franchises Who Have Had Bad Luck With Referees

Referees play an important role in the NFL, but these same referees are the ones who have sidelined a few teams. Here are the six NFL teams who have had really bad luck with referees.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are no strangers to pivotal calls against them. Recently while playing against the Jets they had a helmet to helmet call. It was just that the tackler was at knee height and Tyler Johnson simply lowered his head which led to crashing of both the opponents.

Kansas City Chiefs

They have been in a long running war with the referees. After the debacle in the 2021 Super Bowl matchup when they had a holding penalty on Charvarius Ward, even the fans gave up hope.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Some people may think that the Steelers are NFL's crown jewel franchise, but in reality they have had their bad times as well. They have had a rough passer against the Lions and in an instance Genes Territory admitted that the Steelers had complete administrative breakdown by the officials which resulted in a stopped clock for a while.

Cleveland Browns

It is believed that the Browns have been treated too harshly by the referees. Some even say that the Cleveland Browns are consistently on the wrong side of the referees.

Buffalo Bills

They have had Ed Oliver for roughing the passer for making a shoestring tackle. But sometimes the refs even tried not to stop the clock when the Bills tried to tie a game in Foxborough .

Dallas Cowboys

The fans of the Cowboys feel persecuted by the referees. But if you see the story from the referees point of view they have already turned their backs on Dallas.
