Jameis Winston Running For First Time Since Injury: Fans React

Veteran quarterback Jameis Winston took a major step in his offseason recovery on Monday. For the first time since undergoing surgery on his torn ACL, Winston took to the treadmill and ran a bit.

Adam Schefter Tweeted about Winston

"Free-agent-to-be QB Jameis Winston is running today for the first time since undergoing surgery on the left ACL he tore Oct. 31 vs. the Buccaneers,”

About the treadmill Winston was using

It’s important to note the treadmill Jameis Winston is running on is an anti-gravity treadmill. These allow previously-injured athletes to get back into shape quicker than normal by taking less weight off the impact of running. That impact will be increased as Winston’s recovery progresses.

About Winston's Injury

Winston tore his ACL last October 31 when he played against his former team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before his injury, the Saints were on a nice run and were pushing the Buccaneers for the NFC South title. Unfortunately, things quickly went south for head coach Sean Payton and the Saints when Winston wasn’t available for action.

Will Winston be ready to play for the 2022 season

Finally, here’s the quarterback going through some throwing motions on the field, as shared by his agency, the Just Win Management Group. This meant to prove that Winston will be ready to play for the 2022 season in New Orleans or elsewhere.
