Equestrian World Abuzz as $2.5M-Worth Horse Readies for Training After Spectacular Win

Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike, worth $2.5 million, preps for a return with Bill Mott post-owner's split from Eric Reed due to movie rights. The 4-year-old, son of Keen Ice, recovers from leg issues with Dr. Bramlage's help, targeting the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup in January at Gulfstream Park.

Rehabilitation Triumph

Rich Strike, a Kentucky Derby winner, had front leg tendon issues but recovered well under Dr. Larry Bramlage's care at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital. Dawson, the owner, is relieved that both tendons healed without tears.

Return to Training

Rich Strike is in light training at Margaux Farm, on track for a racing return. Owner Rick Dawson plans to have him join Bill Mott's stable for full training in November, sparking anticipation in the equestrian community.

Pegasus World Cup in Sight

Equestrian fans eagerly await Rich Strike's return to competitive racing, targeting the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup in late January after a prep race in December. The $2.5 million Kentucky Derby champion is under Bill Mott's guidance, promising an exciting comeback from rehab to racing.
