Equestrian World Grieves Loss of $704,230-Worth Horse After Thrilling Grade 3 Stakes Victory

Apart from being an enthralling sport, equestrianism has often garnered scrutiny for administrating euthanasia following injuries. After a heart-wrenching tragedy at Grade 3 of Turf Monster Stakes, these fatalities have sparked concern amongst equestrian enthusiasts.

Turf Monster Winner 

Indiana-based gelding Nobody Listens made many heads turn while leading from start to finish in the turf monster, securing victory and claiming the $132,000 winner’s share. However, the 5-year-old met a catastrophic end just a day later.

Nobody Listens Tragedy 

As reported by owner Matt Kwiatkowski, who wrote a heartfelt message on his Facebook handle, it was a fatal accident while in transit that claimed the life of the poor soul. 

Greatest to Worst

“Yesterday was one of the greatest days when Nobody Listens won the Grade 3 Monster at Parx. Today was one of the worst. Nobody Listens had an unforeseen and unpreventable trailer incident resulting in us losing him,” wrote Kwiatkowski. However, there were no further details available on the incident.
