Simone Biles return to competitive Gymnastics

After a two-year hiatus, Simone Biles announced that she will be competing in the 2023 U.S.Classic on On 5th August. While this news left fans thrilled, it also sprung a lot of hateful comments.

Countdown for comeback

As Simone Biles' comeback is just days away, 'Queen Simone Biles' FB page made a post with the caption: "Simone Biles' awaited comeback is getting so much nearer". Soon, countless negative comments followed. 

One user wrote: "She had her time and flubbed it up. Not fair to take a person's spot that can actually represent." Another wrote: "My money is that when the going gets tough, she'll quit," ridiculing her mental struggles. However, many came forward to defend the 4x Olympic gold medalist, pouring in support.

Pointing out mental struggles are real, one user wrote, "the twisties" are a very real psycho-neurological issue which makes competing unsafe. She didn't just give up. She made a very hard decision for her safety and the success of the team."

Another user wrote, "Simone is the greatest of all time! She works very hard and has the medals to back it up," upholding the Gymnast. It's a divided world, while it's broadly positive, it's also infected with negativity.
